Kim’s Role at Drop & Hook
As the newest account manager, Kim will be working with existing and new clients to develop strategic marketing plans, move marketing tasks forward, ensure client satisfaction and measure the success of these efforts.
Before Drop & Hook
Kim began her career as the arts and entertainment editor for 14 local newspapers simultaneously. After years of building relationships with city officials, local business owners, creative and more, she decided to pivot into marketing via copywriting.
Her content marketing experience spans 10+ years. Throughout this time, she led PR, influencer marketing, social strategy and creation, SEO strategy and copy production, email and SMS marketing, content strategy and content calendar development for companies in a variety of industries.
She landed on transportation in 2022 when she joined the marketing team for a prominent financial services company for carriers, brokers, shippers and factors.
As fate would have it, this is where she first encountered Drop & Hook – as a client. Kim was the primary point of contact as the Drop & Hook team built out a bank of lead generation content, blogs, newsletters and the bulk of the copy for a website redesign.
Why Drop & Hook
With Kim’s previous 2.5 years of experience collaborating with the Drop & Hook team, there was no question for her if this was the right move. As a marketer at heart who previously created content targeting owner-operators, fleet owners and brokers, Kim has conducted research on their lifestyles and the current events affecting their day-to-day operations. She has a desire to gain deeper knowledge about logistics at large while aiding clients in developing the right marketing strategy and plan for them.
Life Outside of Work
When she isn’t nerding out over marketing trends, she is likely watching YouTube like it’s cable, listening to a podcast, visiting a new exhibit or catching up with friends or family over a drink or good meal.

Though Kim has no stamps on her passport yet, she has stamped her tastebuds with lots of cuisine from around the world from her own backyard – North Texas. She enjoys experiencing different cultures through art exhibits, restaurants and copious vlog consumption, but she will make her own treks around the world soon. Her first international trip will likely be Jamaica in 2026 or 2027.
