Account Manager Drop & Hook | Remote (US)

The Role

We're looking for an Account Manager to join our team. This is a client-facing, strategic role for someone who has been around the block in a marketing agency setting and is ready to own a portfolio of accounts with real depth and authority.

At Drop & Hook, each Account Manager is the primary point of contact for their clients and the internal voice of the client on the team. That means you don't just manage deliverables; you understand the client's business well enough to advise them, push back when needed, and proactively bring ideas to the table. We want someone who can operate independently, mentor junior team members, and help us continue raising the bar for the quality of work we produce.

What You'll Do

Client Strategy and Relationship Management

  • Own a portfolio of active client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor for each
  • Develop a deep working knowledge of each client's brand, audience, competitive landscape, and marketing goals
  • Lead regular client check-ins, preparing thoughtful agendas, surfacing performance insights, and guiding strategic conversations
  • Identify opportunities to expand scope, improve results, or introduce new tactics, and bring those recommendations forward to both the client and Drop & Hook leadership

Project and Deliverables Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of client deliverables, from planning and assignment through execution, review, and measurement
  • Oversee client workspaces in ClickUp, maintaining accurate task status, deadlines, and responsible parties across all active projects
  • Coordinate with internal specialists (writers, designers, paid media, community managers) and outside vendors as needed to deliver high-quality work on time
  • Proofread and edit client deliverables; produce original copy when needed

HubSpot and Marketing Automation

  • Serve as a knowledgeable, hands-on resource for HubSpot across client accounts, including CRM hygiene, contact management, workflow and automation setup, and campaign reporting
  • Support clients in getting more value out of their HubSpot portals through lifecycle stage frameworks, list segmentation, and email campaign execution
  • Contribute to Drop & Hook's continued growth as a HubSpot Gold Partner by maintaining certifications and staying current on platform updates

Reporting and Performance

  • Pull, interpret, and present performance data across social media, email, and other channels
  • Develop clear, client-ready reporting that tells the story behind the numbers and connects results to business goals
  • Use data to inform recommendations and help clients understand what's working and what to do next

What We're Looking For

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in a marketing agency or in-house marketing role, with demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts or projects simultaneously
  • Marketing strategy and execution experience is required. You should be comfortable pulling meaningful reports, making strategic recommendations and executing on recommended tactics or identifying and managing the right resources to successfully complete the recommended work. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you produce polished, brand-consistent work and can easily provide constructive criticism to others in a collaborative setting.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills; you can navigate a difficult conversation, manage expectations, and keep relationships strong even when things get complicated.
  • Organized and self-directed; you're able to manage your own workload across multiple accounts without being micromanaged.
  • Genuinely curious about the transportation and logistics industry, or prior experience in it

Nice to Have

  • HubSpot certifications (Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, CRM Data Migration, Marketing Hub, or others)
  • Background in or passion for freight, logistics, trucking, or supply chain
  • Experience with Sprout Social, Canva, or other marketing tools in our stack
  • Comfort with data and reporting beyond basic dashboards
